SERC Bronte to Bondi 03.05.2024

About

DescriptionSERC (South End Rowing Club) are the Bondi Icebergs sister Club from San Francisco. In 2024 it was our turn to host this great club. They visit us every even year and host us on every odd year for the Alcatraz swim. We have a few swims which are swum prior to Opening Day to offer them the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful ocean and Sydney weather. This year we could only offer them lots of rain but this did not deter their spirits at all as they whooped and hollered their way around Marks Park Mackenzie's Lookout Point, in the Bronte to Bondi swim. If the conditions had been just a little better we could have come in back to the Bergs via the Bogey Hole. But our wonderful safety crew, guided by Siobhan O'Toole, had us safely coming in onto the beach with a short stroll back to the Bergs.
